(Lincoln, NE)- The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Headquarters Troop-Lincoln will conduct a night of high visibility patrols on Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Gage County.

The increased enforcement will focus on impaired drivers. Troopers will utilize high visibility patrols in and around southern Gage County, in an effort to reduce the possibility of crashes, encourage safe driving and removed impaired drivers from Nebraska roads.

The special enforcement effort will begin in the evening hours of Saturday, June 6 and continuing into the early morning hours on Sunday, June 7, 2009.
 

A $1,600 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS) will help pay for overtime hours for NSP troopers and dispatchers participating in the special enforcement effort.
