Speeding Driver, Arrested 4th Offense DWI

(Lincoln, NE)- Traveling 46 mph over the speed limit lands an Omaha man in jail for Fourth Offense DWI, Reckless Driving and Driving Under Suspension.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol Carrier Enforcement Division stopped a westbound, silver 2004 Dodge Infinity, for speeding, 106 mph in a 60 mph zone on Highway 36 near 108th Street in Douglas County, Nebraska. During the traffic stop the trooper observed two empty and one full six ounce wine bottles on the floor of the passenger side of the car. The driver of the vehicle identified as 55 year-old Dennis Bogard of Omaha, was unable to produce a driver’s license. A further check indicated Bogard was suspended and had three prior convictions for DWI.

Bogard, who failed a field sobriety test, was transported to the Douglas County Detention Center where he was given a breathalyzer test and lodged on charges of Reckless Driving, Driving Under Suspension and Fourth Offense, Driving While Intoxicated.
